WELCOME TO MY
inner waters
a collection of poems written from that vulnerable space in the depth of my heart

-
I gave myself permission.
I allowed myself to live it.
I allowed myself to accept.
I allowed myself to forgive.
I allowed myself to let go.
I allowed myself to forget
And to start all over again
with the kiss of the Sun on a new blue sky.
I allowed myself to trust myself.
I gave myself permission to unlearn, to learn.
I allowed myself to feel,
To feel so deeply that it broke me open.
I allowed myself to be a waterfall of feelings,
To be the Ocean that remembers.
-
-I allowed myself
I allowed myself to be the volcano that holds Her waters.
I allowed myself to be the hummingbird that sings to me when my eyes are too hard to open.
I allowed myself to be the hug that cocoons me when the Sun is still behind the mountain.
I allowed myself to be a humble human here on Earth,
Who knows less every day,
But who begins to feel that every drop of the rain is a part of Her—
Her tears of joy on a Sunday
And the tears of uncertainty on a Monday.
I gave myself permission To be. Here and now.
-
-what is beyond courage?
Have the courage to deepen your surrender,
To embrace your darkest cave.
Confront your demons and let them be.
Have the courage to look deeply into their fearful eyes. Resist the urge to hide from them,
Or ignore their presence when they surface.
Strengthen your trust,
Recognizing they are merely projections of your own mistrust.
Have the courage to release them,
Allowing them to fly away into the mystery of the unknown.
And when they vanish by dawn,
Will you have the courage to step forward
And become the master of your own destiny?
-
-everything belongs
All the waves arising in the ocean of my being,
Belonged.
They are part of this life,
And so am I.
When I relax, crack open,
Allowing my chest and legs to become a portal,
A portal into the vastness of the waters,
I realize I am HER.
Including the waves and
Everything that breaks,
In this open field,
Between my heavy breaths,
Between the shores of my own being,
I can sense again
An innate belonging to what remains.
Belonging to my life,
To all life.
Everything belongs to life,
And so do I.
-
-aliveness itself
What a blessing it is to come alive.
Show me the path my heart desires,
And I promise not to control nor rush,
For I am here to surrender to life.
Enséñame el camino de mi alma,
I promise to hold myself in this open space,
Trusting the blind calling of my fate.
What a blessing it is to come alive,
Today and every day so far.
Qué maravilla estar vivo,
Hoy y todos los días que sigo.
-
-twenty eight
And when the first light of dawn
Slowly touches your skin
And awakens your heart,
You know it's time to go.
To start the journey of your soul,
To walk on the path of uncertainty Covered with leaves of faith and clarity,
You know it's time to go.
As each day is a remembrance of the beauty of your soul,
You know it's time to go because you are here,
You, beautiful soul.
It's time to go on the path laid for your soul,
To see yourself in the mirror of time and space,
To see the divinity in your tears
And the love in your fears,
To see the beauty of being human,
A child of the Earth and messenger of the Heavens.
You know it's time to go when your clock is ticking veintiocho. It's time to listen to your heart
And taste the mystery of being alive.
Estás aquí y lo sabes,
Con esa voz interior que siempre renace.
And when the light of the morning dawn
Caresses your sleepy eyes,
Awaken your heart and know you are already enough
Just because you are a messenger of the Divine.
